Circles
It can be defined as a closed shape in which the all
set of points constituting the circle are position at an equal distance from a
common point, known as the center of the circle. And the distance between any
of the point in its circumference to the center is known as the radius of the
circle, two times the radius we will call it as the diameter of the circle. The
word circle has been originated from the Greek and it became an important shape
in the field of geometry.
What role does the circle play in your daily life?
The most precious thing in the world “Time” - the clock (analog) moves in a circular motion. If we go to eatables your pizza, chapatti, Pori, papadam, etc. are in a circular shape.
The wheel, coins, bangles, etc. has been designed in a circular shape.
Have you been to the giant wheel? It’s in a circular shape.
If you count like this it becomes endless, as a brief, we can’t avoid this two-dimensional geometry from our life. Let’s see some way to tackle this shape.
How to find the area and circumference of a circle.
Area of a circle can be defined as the quantity of
the 2D space inscribed in the circle. Let’s see the formula for finding the
area of a circle.
Area of a circle having radius “r”, A = π x r2.
Circumference of a circle is the distance around it
or it is the length of the circle when it is opened up, which can be found by
using the formula.
Circumference, C= 2 x π x r.
Understanding the basics can lead to success in complex problems.
Thank you.
